OTHER STUFF I do
I insulated and finished the interior of this 8x10' playhouse. Pet name for this project: Triangle Hell. I hate sheetrock dust so I walled it with 1/4" luan plywood which I hand sawed (cuts like buttah) but I'll still go with sheetrock next time - looks nicer and can be cut with a mat knife. Wall paper, door and window trim all from Home Depot. (Window trim tip: If you can't cut perfect 45% angles with a hand saw, cut 'em slightly more acute, 42 % or so. A slight gap looks much less noticeable on the inner corner than on an outer corner.)
Oak parquet flooring - super easy to install for under $2 sq ft.
Medusa. Isn't she the feng shui cure for an intrusive corner? My wonderfully cooperative contractor carefully saved the floor and ceiling trim from the original "inny" corner to re-install on the "outy" corner of the new bathroom. The doorway took care of the floor trim shortage dilemma, but he lost a few inches re-mitering the ceiling. I sculpted Medusa on a dare, but I think she's cool.
Trompe-l'oeil
There really is a man in the moon! This is my interpretation of his face, taken directly from our very own, definitely real (go ask Buzz...Aldrin, not Lightyear!) full moon.
